First Tee – Jersey Shore

Golf Course programs

Our programs and lessons introduce kids to the great game of golf while simultaneously teaching them The First Tee Nine Core Values – honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.  Like other youth programs, First Tee is progressive with different levels as participants age and learn. We offer after-school and weekend classes in Spring, Summer and Fall with limited classes in the Winter when indoor space is available.

The class fees include use of equipment, program materials and weekly instruction. Classes meet 1x per week (about 1 hour each) for 8 weeks (weather permitting).  Fees vary based on level.  “Golferships” are available for any child who would like to participate but may face financial barriers.  We will turn no child away for inability to pay.

Sessions include a fun, small group (age appropriate) setting for youth ages 4 to 17.  Classes typically run about 1 hour depending on the level of instruction.  The First Tee helps kids to become good golfers, make friends, and to be good people both on and off the course.

A Youth Golf Program Unlike Any Other

Golf and life lessons are seamlessly interwoven into The First Tee curriculums at every level of the program. From age 4 through 18, youth progress through different levels by demonstrating The First Tee Nine Core Values, life and golf skills as well as passing an assessment. Every child begins at the PLAYer level – we group kids in age appropriate classes and adapt the curriculum accordingly.  Look for Pee Wee Putters (ages 4-6), PLAYer (ages 7-11) & Teens on the Tee (ages 12+) level classes if you are new to First Tee.
