Our philosophy

Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn’t happen. At First Tee, we take coaching and mentoring seriously.

We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program. We accomplish this with a combination of lead coaches and volunteers who deliver our programs.

Minimum Age is 18 for volunteers

You must complete an application and screening process, which may include an interview about your skills and interests along with a criminal background check. If selected as a volunteer, you must complete SafeSport training for child protection.
